MULTI FRUIT EXTRACT

Bilberry, Sugar Cane, Sugar Maple, Orange, Lemon

  • A concentrated blend of five botanical extracts: that contain several naturally occurring alpha hydroxy acids such as Lactic Acid, which is a highly effective moisturiser, Glycolic Acid which has an immediate skin smoothing effect, Citric Acid which stimulates collagen production and Tartaric and Malic Acids which boost skins elasticity.
  • Alpha hydroxy acids have been shown to promote smoother, younger looking skin by increasing the rate of cell renewal.
  • Produced by taking the listed plants and running them through an exhaustive extraction process, which reduces colour, odor, and concentrates the active principles.
  • The primary action of AHAs lies in their ability to weaken the bonds that hold dead skin cells together, making them easy to shed from the surface of the skin. This leaves the skin looking fresher, smoother and younger

GLYCERINE

  • Glycerine is part of the skins own natural moisture leaving it feeling soft. Rather then sitting on top of the skin, glycerine softens the skin while permitting it to breath.
  • Glycerine (also referred to as glycerol) is a skin-friendly humectant (a substance that promotes retention of moisture), which attracts water to the skin as well as a binding ingredient that occurs naturally in vegetable, as well as animal lipids.
  • For cosmetic purposes it can either be produced artificially from propylene alcohol or naturally derived from vegetable oils.
  • What glycerine does do is help maintain the water balance in the intercellular matrix and in so doing it maintains the skin's homeostasis. It has also been suggested that glycerine found in this level helps other lipids to perform their work more effectively.

CITRIC ACID AND SODIUM LAURETH SULPHATE, SODIUM LAURYL SULPHATE, SODIUM LAURYL SARCOSINATE

  • Water Soluble, Antioxidant. Citric Acid has a multitude of uses. It is frequently used in products like Bath Bombs to help make the fizz.
  • Citric acid is also used in cosmetics to adjust the pH level and prevent cosmetics from becoming too alkaline.
  • Sodium lauryl sulfate is a detergent. As well as cleansing, it makes foam.
  • It is derived naturally from coconut and/or palm kernel oil.
  • It has a long and safe history of use in personal care products.
  • Sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) and sodium laureth sulphate (SLES) are surfactants (“surface – active agent”: a substance, like a detergent, which enables a liquid to foam), which are used in many cosmetic products for their cleansing and emulsifying properties.
